Tom Gilbert
Space
Today's Britain is suffering; there are one million homeless, two and a half million unemployed, countless spaces and resources left untouched and unused. Wastage is fast becoming Britain's biggest lost opportunity.Tom Gilbert has photographically explored many of these disused and neglected spaces, hinting toward the dilapidation and decay potentially becoming extravagance. The endless possible usage of these empty spaces photographed by Tom, are depicted at a particular time or the relativity to a point in history. The commonplace theme being these expanses spend a majority of their existence unused.
