Direct Submissions:
Source is interested in seeing new previously unpublished projects for publication and has an open and ongoing submissions policy. We publish a variety of work but we would encourage you to see what kind of material we publish by looking at the material available on our web site.
To give us focus, Source only publishes work made in the UK or Ireland - or by photographers from the UK or Ireland - on its portfolio pages. International work is covered through our book and exhibition reviews.
To submit work initially please email up to three paragraphs of background text, CV, and if available web site address with 6 jpegs of no more than 300k each. You must include the word "submission" somewhere in the subject line of your email so that we can sort emails easily.
Send your submissions to: john@source.ie
If you don't have email access post up to 6 prints with the information above. Unfortunately we can't return material unless you enclose return post and print box.
Unfortunately as a small staffed arts organisation it normally takes up to two months for us to process submissions.
Exhibition and Book Reviews:
If you have a forthcoming exhibition in the UK or Ireland or a book that you would like us to consider for review please email an initial press release to: richard@source.ie

Source Magazine Research Trip: Material for Future Issues
As part of our research for future issues, Source Magazine regularly organizes meetings with photographers and artists to view new photographic projects for consideration for publication. Details of forthcoming research trips are listed below.
Source publishes a wide range of material - samples of previously published work can be viewed in the online archive. We are looking for photographic projects that are unpublished and we will select photographers to meet up with after viewing initial emailed submissions.
If you are interested please email up to six screen resolution jpegs - approx 300k max per image - and a two paragraph description of your work. Alternatively you can email a link to a specific project on your web site. You should specify the venue name in your email subject heading.
You can read a full account of what happens during meetings with photographers here...
