Source magazine only accepts submissions from
those working in Ireland and the UK.

Direct Submissions:

Source is interested in seeing new previously unpublished projects for publication and has an open and ongoing submissions policy. We publish a variety of work but we would encourage you to see what kind of material we publish by looking at the material available on our web site.

To submit work initially please email up to three paragraphs of background text, CV, and if available web site address with 6 jpegs of no more than 300k each. You must include the word "submission" somewhere in the subject line of your email so that we can sort emails easily. Source publishes work made in Ireland or the UK by artists from Ireland or the UK.

If you don't have email access post up to 6 prints with the information above. Unfortunately we can't return material unless you enclose return post and print box.

Unfortunately as a small staffed arts organisation it normally takes up to two months for us to process submissions.

Portfolio Days:

Source photographic magazine has established itself as one of the most innovative publishers of contemporary photography. As part of our commitment to finding new work we regularly organise days at venues across Ireland and the UK to meet directly with those working with photography. To this end Source will be scheduling a series of meetings with photographers to view previously unpublished work for consideration for publication.

Meetings will be arranged with photographers after a selection from work emailed in advance. If interested, please email the following to:

A link to a specific project on your web site. Alternatively send up to 6 screen resolution jpegs - 300k max per image, preferably in the main body of an email or as a PDF, no zip files please.
A two paragraph introduction to your work.
Your contact phone number.
Please specify one venue only in your email subject heading.

Source normally publishes work in the form of an eight page portfolio. Unfortunately there is no fee for reproduction. Although Source embraces variety please familiarise yourself with the magazine before sending material. We will look at all submitted material, confirm receipt of your email and let you know two weeks in advance of relevant venue date if we can meet up. Please do not fly to see us, see our direct submissions policy instead.
