Camera Lucida, Roland Barthes (1981) / On Photography, Susan Sontag (1977) / A Short History of Photography, Walter Benjamin (1931)

These books are classics and were the basis of my appreciation of photography. Of course, I have come across many other interesting titles which are closer to what I’m working with at the moment, but I do feel that these three established the foundations for my later appreciation photography in general.
