Hannah Jane Campbell
Femme
‘Femme’ is an ongoing project which explores the relationship between femininity and fragility. The artist uses photography as a medium to challenge societal perceptions of femininity by capturing the essence of vulnerability, delicacy, and decay in both the natural and digital world. The project embraces a more nuanced understanding of the intersection of strength and vulnerability, where destruction is an inevitability. Using various post-production techniques, this phase of the project has resulted in abstract pieces, creating a space for introspection, and encouraging viewers to question their own perceptions.
