Sarah Baker

ATTN

Despite recent milestones and advancements in pay equality and recognition for women in sports, there is still much progress to be made. Women make up 40% of athletes overall and 4% of sports media covers women’s sports. This body of work seeks to empower women and challenge the prevailing narrative by photographing role models of all ages and in various sports.Utilising a portable lighting set up, an atmosphere was created, symbolising the highlighting of these often overlooked figures in sport. My goal is to empower and give female athletes the recognition they truly deserve, by giving them the attention they have long been worthy of.
