My Grandad - Ron Firby
One of the most valuable things we have is family. Typically, a person is forgotten just 2 to 3 generations after they die. The thought of my future children not knowing who their Great-Grandad is doesn’t sit right with me, and so I shot this project. My Grandad – Ron Firby, is a huge inspiration to me; he is a perfect role model, and it is through this project I aim to immortalise his legacy so that future generations of the Firby family can know him like I do. This is a documentary project made up of both candid and posed photos, capturing a vivid image of my Grandad who inspires me to be a better man and a better photographer.
