Everyday Spectacles
Everyday Spectacles explores the dynamic relationship between humans, the environment, and social consciousness. Streets take the form of a stage for humans to perform their daily lives, living out their social conscience. Through theories of the simulation, the boundary between the self and the environment have become less of a finite line and more of an open concept for one's mind to construct. Performance is a trick, an illusion, deceiving an audience into believing something is real. Subconsciously we put on a ‘performance’ everyday just walking through the streets. This performance creates an identity of its own. It’s a constant cycle, performance of humans is formed from a reflection of the environment, which around us, is a reflection of human consciousness.
