Chapter 10 Synopsis:
- Interested in roles imposed on children 'the sporty one, the clown etc.'
- Started series (that became 'Seven Years').
- Sister was best collaborator because she would take instruction.
- Sister didn't like it but did project out of sisterly duty.
- Two things discovered in process, couldn't pose as younger than 12, sister couldn't be older than 55.
- Had to get past the fact she appeared in the photographs, made them hard to look at initially.
- Pictures work when you are fooled that they are a 70s family photograph.
- Had help from a stylist but whoever was around took the photograph.
- Had been speaking to Impressions gallery who showed work and David Chandler from Photoworks.
- Made first moving image work for show, of her and mother wearing old wedding dress.
- Saw moving image piece as extension of photography.
